About the Artist

When she is not creating art, Alena Van Arendonk works as a behavior analyst and training instructor for Canines In Action, Inc., where she specializes in working with fearful and fear-aggressive animals. Alena developed CIA's "Shy Dogs" training program to help rehabilitate inhibited, fearful and abused dogs.

Alena is also an award-winning cosplayer, a photographer, and a confessed geek. She collects antique books and homeless animals, and at present is owned by two Doberman Pinschers and two cats (all rescues).
